Cryovac® OS Systems represent the most effective oxygen absorbing technology ever. Unlike other scavenging systems such as sachets and labels, our transparent scavenger is extruded as a layer of the packaging film. This unique innovation doesn’t change the look or feel of the package, or rely on moisture to work as an activator.

Quick and Easy Scavenging Verification

By applying our Scavenging Verification System (SVS) label (patent pending) to triggered film, and then inserting the film and label into the SVS reader, positive verification of oxygen scavenging will typically occur in less than 30 minutes, but in no more than two hours. No needles are needed to run headspace analysis. Getting a positive scavenging verification means that the film has been activated and the film quality is good. It’s fast, safe and easy. The SVS reader automatically controls the temperature of the label and automatically repeats the readings until an acceptable or rejectable conclusion to the test is reached.
