The Simple Steps® Lidstock package is comprised of a clear, rigid polypropylene tray with a non-barrier easy-open sealant and a permeable anti-fog coated lidstock. Fresh produce can be steam cooked in the microwave in a matter of minutes, making it a convenient and healthy meal solution.
Simple Steps® Lidstock packages can run on a wide range of existing equipment. The new offering is available in a variety of sizes, and both the lidstock and the trays come from a single supplier, allaying origination fears. The new package also allows for printing on the film, representing a cost savings for processors as there is no need for a sleeve around the package.
