Sealed Air’s Packforum® Americas Ignites Ideas, Promotes Learning and Discovery
ATLANTA (Sept. 10, 2008) – Generating new ideas, keeping up with trends and learning about the future of the food packaging industry can now happen in one place with the opening of Sealed Air’s Packforum® Americas in Atlanta.
Designed as a dynamic innovation and learning center, the 28,000-square-foot Packforum® Americas is a permanent customer forum that brings the food processing, supermarket and foodservice industries together to experience the full global range of Cryovac® food packaging systems, programs and services.
Packforum® Americas is the third such facility Sealed Air has launched globally, following centers in Europe (Paris) and Asia (Shanghai). Sealed Air is the only packaging company to offer such a resource.

Packforum® Americas includes two professional kitchens – one in a theater setting for demonstrations and a second, back-of-the-house foodservice kitchen to test food packages in a real-world setting. An active packaging equipment interaction area with more than a dozen systems in operation enables customers to test their products in multiple formats, including vacuum shrink bags, Darfresh® vacuum skin packaging, tray lidding and vertical form-fill-and-seal.
To help customers see food packaging through the eyes of consumers, Packforum® Americas includes a fully merchandised retail supermarket meat department. Also, Packforum® Americas has added the Innovation Zone, which helps customers refine their ideas with Cre8™ package design and Cryovac® graphics services.
Located 10 minutes from Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, Packforum® Americas is centrally located to serve both North America and Latin America and is just a flight away from most major cities in both regions.
The center features many amenities that customers need to stay connected and conduct business while away from the office, including large and small meeting rooms, facility-wide wireless Internet and private workstations. The Forum, a multi-purpose meeting room, seats 80 people and can be arranged as needed for presentations or meetings.
