Sealed Air Corporation to Showcase New Product Applications
at Pack Expo 2008
Company Continues To Innovate Outside of Traditional Packaging Segments
GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS (October 31, 2008) – In addition to its extensive portfolio
of protective packaging products and solutions, Sealed Air will be showcasing several new
products with specialty applications at this year’s Pack Expo. Products for use outside of the
company’s traditional packaging segments range from cushioning for airline seating to adhesive
film for automotive headliners.
Among these new product lines will be the new generation Ethafoam® polyethylene foam product lines and the Turbo Tag™ RFID monitoring systems. Both products represent Sealed Air’s commitment to innovate products and materials for construction, transportation and cold
chain customers.
Ethafoam® is a well-known and highly recognized brand of polyethylene foam products
used in a wide range of cushioning and specialty applications. Sealed Air acquired certain assets
of the Ethafoam® brand and related polyethylene foam product lines from Dow in 2007 and will be launching the new generation of foam plank products later this year.
Sealed Air will also be highlighting temperature controlled packaging & monitoring
solutions, including Turbo Tag™, a reliable RFID temperature monitoring system used for the transport of perishable food and pharmaceuticals. The system allows users to track temperature
of sensitive materials during transportation and is designed to prevent product loss due to
improper handling. This innovative product line is designed for industries such as life sciences,
agricultural, industrial, and food processing.
These and other products from Sealed Air will be on display at Booth Number S-1674 at
Pack Expo in Chicago beginning on November 9.
