Sealed Air Shrink Packaging Introduces Cryovac® New D-940

Now available in 45 and 52 gauge

Duncan, SC (April 28, 2008) – Sealed Air Corporation, a leader in high performance shrink packaging for industrial and consumer goods, introduces New Cryovac® D-940 , a thinner, stronger, shrink film with improved optics.

Strength and Shelf Appearance

The New D-940 shrink film shows exceptional seal strength for greater protection as well as unmatched clarity, gloss and sheen for display. This new formulation is a multi-layered, electronically cross-linked polyolefin. Its strength ensures the product arrives at the store in the same condition it is shipped, and can also withstand the rigors of retail stocking and consumer handling, while maintaining strong visual appeal.

Ultra Thin/Source Reduction

New D-940 is the ideal choice for material source reduction and is now available in 45 and 52 gauge singlewound and centerfold formats. Despite the ultra-thin profile of D-940, the shrink film’s strength is not compromised and presents products at their best, maximizing point-of-sale appeal.

Easy-To-Use

D-940 is easy on your product, easy on sales and easier on YOU! D940 provides the widest window of operability of any shrink film in the market and is easily “dialed-in” to accommodate a broad range of applications. The “easy-sealing” and “easy-shrinking” properties readily accommodate odd shaped and difficult to wrap products. Additionally, the flexibility of this film allows high quality, skin tight presentation, even with low end or poorly maintained shrink packaging equipment. With its versatility in the market place, D-940 is the perfect film for paper products, snack foods, confectionary products, gift wrap and so much more.

Sustainability

New 45 and 52 gauge formats shrink at a lower temperature allowing you to save on expenses, as it requires less energy to shrink your product.
